Añejo matures for 15 months in first-fill American oak, developing deep layers of caramel, toasted oak, and dried fruit over an earthy agave base. Rich, complex, and crafted for slow appreciation, it is the pinnacle of our range.
Blanco is agave in its purest form. Double distilled and bottled without ageing, it captures the crisp citrus, green pepper, and gentle smokiness that define the Karoo terroir. A bright, refreshing spirit that shows agave at its most vibrant.

People often ask why we don’t just call it South African tequila. Tequila is a protected term, much like Champagne. It must be made in specific regions of Mexico, using only Blue Weber agave and strict traditional methods.
Mezcal, another Mexican agave spirit, is typically made using different agave varieties and roasted in underground pits, which gives it a smokier flavour and a broader style range. It’s closer in spirit to what we do, but still rooted in Mexico.
What we make is an agave spirit, crafted in South Africa using Karoo Agave Americana. Our process draws on tradition but reflects our own land, methods, and story. This is agave spirit production with a distinctly South African signature.
We’re not trying to be tequila. Tequila belongs to Mexico. We’re creating a category of our own, a Karoo agave spirit in the voice of Mzansi.
